Facebook is as Facebook does.

So, when Facebook went public they made billions of dollars in their initial public offering. That’s fine. That’s how the free enterprise system should be. Good for them.

However, since then, all of us little people with business pages that helped Facebook grow through our posting efforts, and advertising dollars, have literally been cut off from our own member base.

Facebook has changed the way they work so that only posts that get a lot of action (likes, clicks, comments, shares) will be seen by a lot of people – regardless of whether those people are fans or friends. This is so they can hope to benefit from "Boosted Posts" (ads) from companies or individuals.

So, imagine if your email service only delivered 10% of your email, or much less, based on what they think you’d like, and used the rest of your service for advertising. How would you feel?

Our Embody Peace and Love page on Facebook has over 12,700 members. For over four years straight we were steadfast in posting daily, positive inspirational messages about peace and love that reached thousands upon thousands of our members all over the world every day. And we received many thanks from them for our positive shares.

Now, only a very small fraction of our members, around 10-100 members per post, actually receive our daily postings. That’s not even 1 % (ONE PERCENT) of our members. Hello?

How do you feel about this fact that your business pages have very limited reach now to your members?

I don’t know about you, but I’m totally disappointed with Facebook as a business tool, as surely there could have been a more happy medium between Facebook continuing to make money and allowing our business pages to not being literally killed off from our members.

Your feedback and comments are most welcome.

As we like to say every day at Embody Peace and Love, and in case you don’t get this on Facebook, “have a nice day friends, and may peace and love be with you.“
